18th Annual Belk Bowl Will Be Played in Charlotte on New Year’s Eve

Game Set for Tuesday, December 31, 2019 at 12:00 p.m.

Charlotte, N.C. –The 2019 Belk Bowl will be played on Tuesday, December 31st, with a 12:00 p.m. EST kickoff, it was announced today by the Charlotte Sports Foundation, owner and operator of the game. Celebrating its 18th year, the Belk Bowl will be televised nationally on ESPN.

College football’s only bowl game to call the Carolinas home, the Belk Bowl features a matchup of the Atlantic Coast Conference and the Southeastern Conference. The game is played at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, N.C.

Belk has been the title sponsor of the Belk Bowl since 2011, working to help increase the Bowl’s visibility both regionally and nationally.

“We are very proud to host the Belk Bowl in Charlotte for the 18th straight year,” said Johnny Harris, Chairman of the Charlotte Sports Foundation. “With over $260 million in economic impact to the city of Charlotte and the surrounding region, the Belk Bowl is a cornerstone of Charlotte’s success in hosting premier sporting events.”

“We are excited to announce the 2019 Belk Bowl will played on New Year’s Eve for just the third time in history,” said Danny Morrison, Belk Bowl Executive Director. “We look forward to continuing our tradition of showcasing the city of Charlotte to the teams, conferences and college football fans. We are also proud to be airing for the 18th year on television partner ESPN’s family of networks, highlighting the Queen City to audiences worldwide.”

Individual public tickets for the 2019 Belk Bowl will go on sale in the fall.

The Belk 2-Game Ticket Package is available now at www.belktickets.com. Fans who purchase the Belk 2-Game Pack will have the opportunity to secure the best seats for both the Belk College Kickoff and the Belk Bowl. The 2019 Belk College Kickoff will be played on Saturday, August 31st and features the South Carolina Gamecocks facing border rival the North Carolina Tar Heels to open the 2019 college football season.
